Our glasses and glassware are probably one of our most challanging lines of production. Each bottle is hand-selected, hand-cut, sanded and cleaned. They're all unique, bearing interesting remnants of their previous life.

The process: Start to finish it takes two individuals around an hour to make 6 glasses, not including collection time. The old bottles are collected from a local recycling depot, they're currierd by bicycle to our workshop where they are cleaned, sorted and any unwanted or broken bottles are removed. The bottles are then scored using a bottle cutter and individualy held over a naked flame to shock-break the glass. The glass breaks (or cleaves) natually along the score line. The glass is then sanded and cleaned again. The wine glasses are glued to their bases using a non-toxic UV sensitive glue. The glue is applied and the glasses are left on our 'shop window' over night so that they set in the morning sun.
