The bicycle tyre belts are one of our favourite products. They're something that everyone seems to love, each one is unique and handmade with care.

 

The process: Belts can take up to an hour to make, not including collecting and sorting the tyres. First we cut through the outer metal wires which support the shape of the tyre. These are then sometimes used to make Berimbau. but are more likely to be used to make necklaces. We select a buckle from our pile of pre-loved vintage belt buckles and cut the best thickness of belt with heavy-duty scissors. Holes are made with a leather hole punch and the buckle is then attached using some small nuts and bolts. The belts are thoroughly cleaned and then wrapped up for shipping!
